Middle School Athletics


EMS Volleyball:

Practice for the Middle School girls volleyball teams will begin on MONDAY, AUGUST 14th. All 7th and 8th grade girls are eligible to compete. Physical exams are required for all students participating in interscholastic sports, and must be on file before your student will be eligible to practice. The exam must be dated within one calendar year of the last dated physical. A schedule of events will be distributed by the coaches; practice time will be from 3:15 - 5:00 PM. Students should be picked up by 5:10 PM.

E/P Panther 5th , 6th , 7th , & 8th Grade Football:

Practice for 5th and 6th Panther football teams will begin on Wednesday, AUGUST 16th from 3:30 – 5:00 at Erie Middle School. All Erie and Prophetstown 5th and 6th graders are eligible to compete. Physical exams are required for all students participating in interscholastic sports, and must be on file before your student will be eligible to practice. The exam must be dated within one calendar year of the last dated physical. (Note: All 6th graders are required to have a school physical; that physical exam will satisfy the athletic requirement.) The season schedule for all the games will be distributed by the coaches. The first three days of practice will be football helmet, shorts, and a t-shirt (not the PE uniform); players should also have football spikes.

Practice for 7th and 8th grade Panther football teams will begin on Wednesday, AUGUST 9th from 3:30 – 5:00 at Erie Middle School. All Erie and Prophetstown 7th and 8th graders are eligible to compete. Physical exams are required for all students participating in interscholastic sports, and must be on file before your student will be eligible to practice. The exam must be dated within one calendar year of the last dated physical. The season schedule for all the games will be distributed by the coaches. Students should be picked up by 5:30 PM. The first three days of practice will be football helmet, shorts, and a t-shirt (not the PE uniform); players should also have football spikes.
