National Pajama Program Donations
Wrapping Someone In Love
The National Pajama Program officially started at EHS this week on Dec. 3 and continues until Dec 12. This pajama program was founded in 2001 to assure that all children, regardless of their circumstances have a peaceful and warm good nights sleep, which in turn will start the next day on a positive note. What better way to have this happen than to have a new, cuddly, warm set of pajamas that makes you feel like you are wrapped in love? Added to that feeling, it only gets better with a new book to snuggle up with for a good read. These two items alone show an unconditional love from absolute strangers. As we all know, a good book is a temporary escape from things in their daily lives because it also sparks imagination as they can travel anywhere. Mrs. McConnell has participated in this campaign for 11 years and this is the second year that NHS is helping to organize it. We are asking everyone to consider a donation of pajamas, a cash donation (we will do the shopping for you), or new books. Please bring NEW pajamas (with tags attached) and NEW books to the high school office or media center to place in the collection boxes. All sizes, infant to teen ager / adult sizes, are needed as are all ages of books.
