At the conclusion of school today, the national weather service issued a severe thunderstorm warning. As our students were releasing from school and bus pickups were occurring, the NWS had an abrupt transition to a tornado warning for our region. At that time all students in and around the buildings were directed to shelter in place. Once the tornado warning was lifted, our bus routes proceeded with transporting students home. The sirens in town did not function at the proper time and when they did go off, the warning was not for our area. 2020 continues to surprise us all with unforeseen circumstances. Thank you to all for the cooperation and quick responses.
